So, I cleaned off my desk and the surrounding area last week…re-wiring all the shit that needs to be plugged in, and finally got a set up that allows for my external HDD to be plugged in and accessible. Now, I can get in the other few images I’ve done since being up here. ((all saying I can finish in the next twenty minutes..I have to go to work today…))
Now, I know you all remember Fiona. Having many, many litters of kittens…yet always remaining a tiny cat, really. Well, if anyone remembers, she was spayed last summer…so, now that she’s not having babies, she’s decided ((actually, that’s a lie…this happens to every cat I’ve ever known to be spayed/neutered)) to just get fat. Seriously. The pictures below, you can see she’s fat…but those were taken back on November 3, 2009. Now, she’s even bigger. The pictures below, were shot one day, Mike and me, and Mac went for a walk in the woods behind our house…and Fiona and Mrs. Lovett came with us, and acted like our personal bodyguards.

First real blog since moving Straight out with it: I’ve used the camera about 4 times since we’ve been here. And of course, the one set of shots that was the best (almost) ever, is on a memory stick that is lost somewhere in this house. All the images on it, I never even got to copy to the computer. Save for like 5, and they’re not the originals :\ Yes, I know, my brilliance is overwhelming at times. The pictures I have taken, and worked on, I will get in here…I’ve really not had a good sense of order since we’ve been here…so they’re all scattered in various folders, on my local and external hard drives…
Sooo…we came up here in mid October. The…15th? I know I tweeted details on the drive up…The kids stayed at my Mom’s house, and Mike and I loaded up the U-Haul, and our truck. We had planned on driving up, unloading, and driving back the next day. That didn’t happen. The starter in the truck died. So, we were stuck here, away from the kids, for 3 days. Or was it 4? Finally got back to MA, and stayed over nite at my Mom’s house…then drove *back* up here, with the kids, the next day.
It was a 7-8 hour drive each way. :\ When we all got here, I swore I didn’t want to go anywhere near the truck for at least a month.
The kids have settled in extremely well. They love school, the house…haven’t heard anyone say that there was something here they *didn’t* like. Me? I love it here. I’m not used to a small town, tho. Like, population under 300 small. I do have a job now, tho I work at the kids’ school as the computer tech person. Super fun
The cats love it here too. We did lose Sally, about a month after being here. She got hit by a car. I don’t let them outside much anymore…it’s too cold, and we have about 2 feet of snow on the ground. Seriously, it was like it snowed everyday for two weeks. Crazy. I’m not used to weather like this.
I can’t wait until summer…The views we have up here are *amazing*. Looking outside and seeing mountains from almost every window is just awesome. Our yard here is smaller than at the house in MA, but we have a *ton* of land. It’s all trees for now…but still.
Hmmph. Started this blog on the 19th, and only just getting to finishing it now. Got a virus on Wed., and only just got the computer clean last nite…
Annnd! It finally stopped snowing! It started on Tuesday morning, and only just ended last nite. If I can find the camera, I wanna try to get some shots of the drifts that have piled up. Man, I can’t wait til summer.

Took almost three months, but we’re finally back online!
I won’t do much typing right now (got to get ready for work)…but here’s a few images until later on today…Mostly showing you the view…yes, we’re in our new house up in Maine now
